September update

Well the end of September is coming crashing in – on a personal level September has been an odd month – yes another odd month, it seems to be a recurring theme this year, hopefully it will be the last odd month and Oct /Nov /Dec will be lovely relaxing and a fun run up to Christmas and then the new year. To be honest I hate the fact people are talking about Christmas already and the shops are getting items in – but it is what it is.

I haven’t done as much seed sowing as I wished – but I have started off some Sweet Peas – I have started them off on wet kitchen paper and once they sprout I will transfer them to soil and starter pot. It is easier to see this way that they have germinated.

My cornflowers have taken well so I need to sow some more quickly for a succession autumn sow – I have sown 40 so far so another 40, maybe even 2 lots making it about 120 all together.

My sweet rocket and snapdragons are not doing well at all, I will have another go with the snaps but not the sweet rocket as its a little late now for sowing this on.

I need to go and get some new fresh compost and get a crack on with the other seeds before I miss the autumn window…
