Ideas For Planting Biennials 22
Pencilled in to my seed planting diary June 21st Summer Solstice – Biennials are sown usually end of June-ish and should flower the following year. I am going to try sowing these in the soil blockers and
Lupins
I just love Lupins and I have too many seeds already really but I am going to order more – what is they say to plant a seed is to believe in tomorrow… So I have
- PinkFairy
- Sunrise (these are annual so I will not sow these now but spring to flower in the summer)
I am going to order and sow in June
- The Governor (Navy Blue)
- Mixture of all the Colours
Foxgloves
- Alba
- Peach / Pink… in a seed swap so not sure what exactly they are
- Sutton Apricot
- Odd random packet – no idea of colour or who seeds are by…
Himalayan Poppy – this is a bright blue flower apparently very difficult to sow and germinate…
Sweet Williams – these are actually very easy to grow well I haven’t had in the past – mine have come back every year so far but to be honest they are looking a little scraggly and I like them more than I thought I would.
- Giant White
- Auricula Mix
Gaura – I think I have an abundance of these plants but they look very like a weed until they flower so I am confused as to how many I actually have so I am going to sow more and sort out the ones I have putting them to one side so next year I know…
- Lindheimeri (blushing bride)
